About us
Over the course of my career in energy acquisition, I've bought and sold an operated position of more than 400 wells and 16,000 net mineral acres, transacted on more than 4,000 net royalty acres, and acquired non-operated working interests — representing well over $50 million with interest owners across the United States.
Oil Hold Company is the acquisition business I run today — smaller and more personal by design, built around direct relationships with owners rather than a call center. Acreage Watch grew out of that work: too many owners get an offer letter with no context, and I wanted a way for them to see what I see — the same permits, the same activity — before anyone asks them to sign anything.
Both companies come from the same place: I was tired of watching owners get taken advantage of. Offers timed right after a permit filing. Numbers pitched to people who had no way to check them against anything. Nobody had to do anything wrong for that to happen — it was just a gap, and the buyer always knew more than the owner. Acreage Watch is my answer to that gap: the same signal, given to the owner first, with no obligation to sell to me or anyone else.
If you ever choose to request an offer through this site, it will come from Oil Hold Company, the company I founded and still run today. You can see more about that side of the business at oilholdco.com
